Here's my entry: https://alakajam.com/1st-alakajam/94/god-save-the-queen/
Honestly this has been the most productive weekend + monday I've ever had. I'm super happy with what I got done, I'm super happy with what the game can still become and I'm looking forward to developing it further. (It's very unfinished as a game)
I've been wanting to join another game jam for a couple of years now, I joined this one because I saw it advertised on the Ludum Dare page when I went to see when the next LD was and this fell at comfortable time for me. I'd love to say I'll be back in February, I really hope I will be. I learnt a lot in such a small time today by deciding to use technologies I wasn't familiar with and I know there's so much more for me to learn still.
Thank you for hosting it, it's been great. I'll be sure to give some time these next two weeks to check out some of the other entries!
Good luck to those of you with ranked entries, and to everyone else I hope you had fun!
The 1st Alakajam! is now complete! Congratulations to everyone who entered the event, and in particular to those of you who managed for the first time to make a game in 48 hours! It's quite an achievement :) We hope you had fun!
Next step is: the rating phase! You are invited to go play and test each other's game during the next two weeks. On October 8th, we will finally reveal the results of the community votes.
We'd also like to acknowledge the little issues we got, from the crazy theme-announcement-mixup-thing, to the server availability issues around submission hour :) We've learnt a lot this week-end, and got reports for various bugs regarding our freshly built site (NB. there's still an annoying one causing occasional crashes). Everyone has been very supportive and understanding, so we'd like to thank everyone who joined, making this a very enjoyable first event.
Hopefully the 2nd Alakajam will be even better! If you want to book the date already, we have chosen the 23-25 February 2018 week-end for that one. But for now, it's time to play some games!
Good god damn it..
It is done : https://alakajam.com/1st-alakajam/86/with-cold-feet/
Here's the pitch : Decypher the riddles before time eats through them, and through yourself. Find out the missing elements at the mixing table and enter the right combinations in the assembling table.
I am going to sleep forever now.
I hope you'll enjoy the creature and not encounter any bugs, my brain is too hot for debugging..
Although before I got I'll say I am very happy deep inside, as this is the first complete game I have ever done in my life.
Thanks a lot to the Alakajam Team.
Cheers
Please, giive my game a try if you've not played it yet ;)

The unranked submissions for the 1st Alakajam are approaching their deadline!
Go submit your game before 10pm UTC to enter the event. There will not be a submission hour after that, and the jam will be closed for good at that time, so make sure to at least create your entry page by then.
Good luck with your polishing and testing! Almost there!
This was my very first game made in under 48 hours, one nice thing about making this game was that my scope was much smaller this time meaning I had a lot more fun making this. Originally I was plannning to submit this to unranked since I prefer 72 hours over 48. But because I ended up finishing so early, I was able to submit this for ranked! Anyway, here is the game I made:
Alchemighetti is a "Hot Potato" style game where you need to juggle a ton of potions around. Match the different potion types to make a larger potion. Once your potion is big enough, you can create a "Super'Splosion to gain tons of points. This also allows you to get some "SuperBonus" points. Once you have 4 SuperBonus points, the SuperBonus begins. For a short amount of time, potions are worth huge amounts of points and getting a Super'Splosion during this time will get H U G E amounts of points! Try and get the highest score possible!
Check it out here: https://alakajam.com/1st-alakajam/46/alchemighetti/ Feedback apreciated :D
The writing is going well, programming ok too. Although I did make some bad calls in the very beginning which are annoying me to no end at the moment. I'll persevere and refactor after the jam.
I have a feeling I won't have time to put everything in. Alchemy for one is still nothing but a mention in the intro. Sacrificed 6 hours for RL stuff which didn't help.
One day to go. Good luck everyone.
Hello there, the jam is now ended, this was our first gamejam for my team and myself, that was a lot of fun.
Now we want your feedback on our game, we put all that we have learned in it, we hope that it's gona be fun for you ^^
Our entry : https://alakajam.com/1st-alakajam/89/the-real-alchemist-job/
Thanks you all ! :)
Congratulations for the 1st Alakajam, and special thanks to the people whom made sure it goes as planned.
With the end of this event, the rating phase will start in few moments, so you are invited to play and rate other people's game, make sure to provide feedback in a clear way so that the person, team behind that game gets a clear idea on what they should keep on doing and what they may improve in their future jam entry or project.
Have fun, and prepare yourselves for the 2nd Alakajam!
