Here's a sample for my core gameplay.
I suppose your goal will probably to build gold from random stuff you can find in the wood or buy at the market place.
I've finally got to something that I can build upon. This is my first jam working with unreal and I've lost plenty of time with things that were supposed to be simple. Now I'm struggling to design an engaging puzzle, and that's what I will probably work on all of tonight. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to actually implement the puzzles and clean up the game.
I'm really stoked about how it's coming out though!
Pretty happy with what I've got. The point 'n clicky bits are to make the actual puzzle mechanics (which I've insomnically developed over midnight) more interesting. Slept about 3 hours total so far, aiming to use the remaining 20+ hours fully!
Hey guys, I am looking for some help with a alakajam project. ( not sure if this is in the right area to post )
I have two concepts for the jam however lack the artist skills and time to complete the project in time.
If you have any artwork for the jam and would like to complete a project with me please send a message ( currently coding in gamemaker)
Everything was going too smooth.. I was ready to post a gif with gameplay before adding music, sound and have more level design and…
Unity crashed… no more able to play the game… unity freeze…
I'm trying a update while crossing fingers.
I hope everything is going fine for all of you :)
So I wasn't able to start on this jam until Saturday at 1pm just about, but I now have two animations.
Since I won't have much time tomorrow, I'm going for a very simple concept: You're a Turtle Wizard that is fighting off a barrage of elmentals that were summoned by the alchemist next door. The mechanics will probably be similarish to One Finger Death Punch
The idle animation
The "cast" animation
So, very little visual progress since this morning (except for the menu here shown underneath) but I have made very good progress on the recipes used to progress in the game. A lot of those recipes have been put into the game and you can now buy materials to try to get further.
An event is already set up for when your ressources drop too low and I am now starting to prepare what's gonna be necessary for the next step: Earning money!
Made some good progress!
