Simple and funny, with quite different elements with the mushrooms powers.

It’s an unusual concept — and one that allows for a lot of strategizing. Having the ability to make multiple Fido's — an army of pups — adds an unusual twist to the game. I had fun using these pups to lure snakes into “mine fields” — exploding fungi. I was especially happy to see a chain reaction of exploding fungi. The tombstone that appears for each dead pup is a nice touch. The sound fits the game well.

Music would be a nice touch (perhaps music that changes as the game evolves), but of course there’s only so much you can do given the time constraint. All in all I think this game is imaginative and fun.

Very fun and fast-paced. It reminds me of the good old days.

Funny how once the map is filled with mushrooms everything starts exploding 😂. I liked the old-school feel of this.

This was pretty fun. Puzzle element and action element are well combined.

I had a great time with this entry! Discovering what each of the mushrooms does was really fun and gradually learning to make use of the exploding mushrooms and managing to chain them together even more so. This kind of reminded me of DOS games I would play as a kid off of random floppy disks :D

Nice game with an interesting core mechanic. I liked the levels of strategy you could implement with chaining together blasts and the like, plus it's super satisfying filling the screen with lots of mushrooms and then going crazy. I think the game could have been improved with some kind of score system though, outside of the coins/gems

Intriguing game, I really like the spawning clones mechanic to try and cheat death which just leads to more chaos, works pretty neatly to make for a strangely addictive game. I felt it was maybe just a bit too hard even from the outset, and rarely even got as far as I seeing loot. Could have done with an easy mode running a little slower, or maybe increase speed as it progresses or something. Like the retro aesthetic too. Nice work.

Hey,
i played your game on my stream and the longer I played it the more i liked it.
It felt there is always something new to find out.
It also has this kind of puzzle element which I really liked.

Thanks @xXBloodyOrange I watched your stream yesterday and enjoyed seeing you explore the game. It's great to see you make the effort to play through everyone's games. I am working on adding a bunch more things to discover in the post jam version.

Cool idea! Reminds me of some old dos arcade games a lot. I think I got 5 loot. It gets super chaotic so fast. The art is cute and sounds fit the game well. Well done!

Playing level 1 I was almost ready to dismiss this as a cute but mechanically uninteresting jam entry. BUT NO this is actually mad genius and escalates to 80s arcade levels of chaos in moments. Really impressed with how this plays, with some shinier visuals (crazier explosions, some psychedelia?) I would consider this a perfect entry. Really cool stuff

Thanks so much @voxel. I've been working away on adding more mushrooms, lots more chaos, insanity, and that dose of psychedlia you were craving.

Initially this looked like a pretty stupid game, but it's really quite brilliant! Lots of different mechanics, and even more ways in which they interact with each other. Very well designed and a lot of fun to play!
