a puzzle platfomer game
How much time do you need to collect all stars to complete the constellation?
In this platform puzzle game you have to build your own way to reach the goal.
A/D/Space to move. Use the mouse to move blocks around.
Tools: Unity 2020.1 / Krita / BeepBox.co / Audacity
I don't think the way I was playing in the beginning was correct. I kept dragging all the tiles from the previous section, and so by the end I had like 20+ pieces I was just dragging around and making stairs with, but as each section had it's own pieces to use, I eventually dropped this approach.
Graphics were cute, especially the background and silhouettes, and the music was nice but did get a little repetitive by the end. Also the collisions were a little bit odd at times, with the moving platforms basically throwing me off haha.
I really like the mood these sort of pieces evoke. /spoilers?/ Also, there seems to be going some more going on? Is that the time machine from HG Wells book over in one corner? What is the effect one 'floor' up?
Physics are always a hard thing to get right, especially in a jam-game. For example I found that I could stand on the top of the three stars in the beginning just by jumping somehow. Also, at one point I found that I could get back up a ledge by repeatedly jumpng into the wall.
As for the 'actual' play …. this is going to be a bit nitpicky, but bear (ha, puns!) with me:
Lastly, I really love the way the beginning screen of the game doubles as the title-card.
Liked the style a lot and the graphics, really nice overall.
The mechanics of moving boxes to move around the level makes it really dynamic.
Wont submit a highscore, I collected all the stars, but didn't know I was supposed to time myself I guess? Or I missed a timer somewhere? :P
Overall, great entry.

Neat entry. The atmosphere and concept of connecting this large constellation one star at a time is really nice, and the music is simple but contributes to that atmosphere as well.
My biggest criticism is that some of the collisions and interactions are a bit funky. At one point I got the player caught on the corner of a ledge, and got stuck, with my jump exhausted.
I think a few additional mechanics could go a long way in adding variety to the drag-and-drop platforming gameplay.
Well done for 72 hours!
