Shinobi Blocks

Move the falling blocks by jumping off of them. Wall jump off of their sides to move them away from you horizontally, jump from the top to send them plummeting. Make complete rows across the bottom to clear space for more blocks.

@dwemthy Alright, first of all I absolutely love the consept of this. It's like a creative mix of Ninja Giaden and Tetris. The execution of this Idea i like alot, and had me playing it more than what I thought i would. I wish the player would'nt move in a grid, but that just my personal preference. Overall this is great.

Fantastic. The movement controls the difficulty of the game, which I love. Unfortunitely for me I'm the worst at tetris styled games. Your game is nothing short of a great idea and a way to improve on classics.

This is excellent! The graphics weren't really my favorite, but everything else is great! I'm always a sucker for indirect control schemes, and this is one of the coolest I have seen in a while.

I like itm it is a real challenge to be as proficient as you can be in tetris.
I did manage to corner myself a couple of times tho.

I like the concept of the game and its simplicity. It makes fun to play although in my opinion it is kinda too hard in the beginning. The movement feels good. There is a strange graphics change when you slide down the wall. And you can actually get stuck when a block is falling on you and you stand at the edge of that field.
But overall a nice idea.

Really good game idea! The gameplay was good and the controls were really smooth. I found one bug: If you stay under a corner block it locks you and you can't move. Also sometimes my jumps against the blocks didn't work. But it's a really great concept and you executed it properly.

Damned I had pretty good start with 4 rows but the game crash with this error:

SCRIPT ERROR: _fixed_process: Invalid get index 'global_position' (on base: 'null instance').

@Thrainsa Sorry you got a crash, trying to fix a lot of bugs, going to update the build after the tournament. Think that's one I've managed to wrangle.

I've been playing this for the tournament and it's quite challenging but a lot of fun! I think with a bit of polish and fine-tuning it could be a pretty successful release. Maybe the gameplay would benefit from being sped up slightly, and from the blocks being slightly more sensitive to where and when you push them. Obviously it could also benefit from SFX & music too. But overall this is a great jam game, and the concept is brilliant - nice idea! :)
