another bullet hell platformer
Wander through some underground ruins and avoid death…
I missed the first 8 hours of the jam because of work and uni, but I'm very happy with how much I got done. \o/
When I first saw this game I thought it was a full release. The graphics are amazing especially for a jam game. The game has a lot of "juice", with all the particle effects and such. However, I have no idea how to end the soul state, which makes the game a bit tougher. Overall, great job, I can't wait to see what you'll make next!
@pikachurian the release state is timed to level phases (or in the case of lv 1, it's just a flat timer).
There's honestly not much to criticize about the game. It's an overall fantastic game. There were two things I did find annoying while playing though.
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#
The player should have a way to regulate jump height, because I would find myself having to go up a single tile and accidentally jumping into a bullet above my head that I didn't see.
When moving down in the soul state, the player soul was kinda hard to find among ඞ the particles, so I would have to try and assume where the player was. I found myself dying to this a couple of times on the boss fight. This one might just be me tho lol.

Other than those minor annoyances, stunning game, and I absolutely loved the graphics :).
Great game for sure.
Would have love to see a bullet hell game played with a controller or mouse for better movement precision.
Everything seemed too dark and the differenciation between your soul and the bullets could have been better. A timer or an indicator that would show when your soul is returning to your body and a way to actually see where you body is when you out of it would have been great.
Like I said overall great game and I'm picking through it to find something constructive.
Good job and I hope you had fun :)
Amazing game, graphically stunning for the time spent on it
