Boy howdy the last month was productive! Yup September was definitley my month. I made so many games and joined so many jams I couldn't keep up!
Wait…am I remembering that right? Oh no…I've slipped out of a spacetime vortex into a reality where none of that ever happened!!
Or maybe I really just didn't do anything. I can't blame everything on a spacetime vortex.
Yeah…so last month was a real slippery slope. No games made, no jams completed, no blog or twitter updates. Heck, barely anything new learned either.
I gotta make the most of October to make up for it. Currently, I am learning the basics of Platformer games, and I hope I can integrate that knowledge into new game jams, including the upcoming Alakajam. I really need to get something done or I'll slip into another vortex of Netflix and Ice Cream pints…
Here's to a new month, and hopefully more productive choices!
My fourth project (don't ask about the third…) as an independent interactive-digital-media developer is out and has been for a few weeks now.
Alakajam 4 then.
I am taking part in the procedings, no surprise there. A surprise here, this time I will be doing so as the second half of a dynamic duo!
Whether the dynamism continues after the jam remains to be seen…
Cheers!
Just what the title says
I'll be using the same as always:
GMStudio 1.4
beepbox
whatever else.
We've updated Hunk Hustler with a spooky new stage just in time for Halloween!
Check out the full 1.4.0 patch notes here.
I participated in the last Alakajam as well, and while things didn't turn out quite how I wanted I learned a lot and continued to learn in the meantime. Hopefully things go even better this time!
Software/Tools:
Unity
Maya
GraphicsGale
Photoshop
Unfortunately, I'll have a lot of other stuff to do during this AKJ. I'll still try to make a game though. :D

Here's my last AKJ entry:
Hi, I'm cygni! I found Alakajam a few weeks ago and recently joined now that the 4th one is coming up. This'll be my first jam, so I'm excited to make something for it!
I use Twine for anything I make right now and I want to learn another engine, but I'll be sticking with Twine for this one.
There's a lot of themes so far that I like, so I'm looking forward to see how the voting goes!
Hi guys.
I'm Zyava and this will be my first entirely online game jam, but previously i took part in GGJ 2018 and BeHealthyHackathon in Gdańsk, Poland which was not restricted to games, but we decided to treat it as "let's just do game to have fun".
My journey started with RPG Maker, but currently i make games with Unity. I also like playing with graphics using Blender and Gimp, and i have basic knowledge of editing audio for my needs, though I try to focus on improving my programming skills cause nobody can be perfect jack of all trades :)
Themes which i submitted were coopetarion, crafting, and pressure. I really like when games put people together, make them creative and relax or forces players to improve timing and reaction time.
My aim for this jam is to start small, stay motivated and put attention to code quality which is my weak point :)
I wish you many great ideas on 4th Alakajam!
This is my first jam, and I posted my three themes: 'Classic Books', 'Children Movies', 'The Life of an AI Virus'!
I will be making my game for Windows with Unity 5.6. It will be 2D and will most likely be 8-bit.
I hope my 'Classic Books' theme wins!
