Hello boys and girls.
Programmers are figuring out how to implement their code in Unity, life's good.
LD is working with the DA asset
DA is the best looking guy around and make sure that people are hydrated and fed.
No screenshot yet, but soon.
Do not lose hope!
Still haven't done the stuff that makes this game unique…
My game is about accidentally breaking reality with alchemy, it was pretty easy to acheive that effect in Pico-8 luckily,
I don't have much of the actual game made though, hopefully I can get most of it done tomorrow. I think my biggest challenge is going to be putting together some decent programmer art. If you have any tips for 8-bit art let me know.
First screenshot of the game. it looks very basic for now but I am slowly building up to a functional game despite all the disturbances.
I've got main character movement mostly sorted and a basic patrolling AI. Working on some other mechanics before I go to my job. Currently all the visuals are unity primitives so no screenshots yet
7 pages worth already and there is going to be a lot more. The main idea came out of nowhere pretty much immediately after reading the (real) theme. I'm making an interactive short story, with maybe a few pictures thrown in there, so I can pretty much write down the whole thing before even thinking about code. This is all new to me.
Good luck youse.
As much as I'd love to work through the night, some things are better slept on and approached with a fresh head. I spent the past few hours setting things up and coming up with my idea, I'm reasonably happy with the outline of it. I still have to piece together the interactions of gameplay but I'm confident I can solve that tomorrow.
For now, I'm off to bed but tomorrow shall be full of coding and arting!
