Woo, i won. Nice interpretation of the theme, on multiple levels even. Always a fan of gallows humour.

Initially I thought each minigame was a day and that the 'restart day' was bugged, but then I stopped sucking at the game and never lost after day 1, so I assume it actually works as intended. Cool art and sound, fun minigames, can't ask for more in a jam entry. I got pretty skilled by the end of day 5, to the point where I'm starting to think I could probably lassoo me some drinks and wayward brothers in the real world

Only suggestion for an improvement would be to let me shoot the sheriff's hat off during the hanging game

This is such a cool game! I liked the way it interpreted the "in a loop" theme very thematically, it was a nice execution!

The minigame-style gameplay reminded me a lot of WarioWare, in a really good way! It's impressive you made such polished-feeling minigames (in a control sense) in only 48 hours, really nice!!

The art does its job and the music is thematically appropriate, and surprisingly catchy!

The only major complaint I had is that figuring out the controls for the whiskey-catching game was unintuitive, but this is probably easily solved with a text prompt.

Great game(s) and ambitious to try three different ones in one entry!

The controls of the first game seemed a little confusing at first, because I didn't immediately think to hold down the mouse button. Nor does it really make a difference here, right? It's just a question of timing the initial click correctly, then just holding long enough.

The second game was fine, although I found it a bit annoying to try to go left or right. Also, making a short lasso loop seems to be the easier approach, since the lasso stays on screen for just as long without moving as much. Maybe this section should have a limited number of lasso attempts?

Fun music and art style; I found the brother holding a bottle of "whiske" in his paws kind of cute.

Not much to say. Having to do two things at once in the hanging part of the game was the most interesting part for me.

Had a blast playing this one ! We kinda cheated by having one player on the mouse and one on the keyboard, but it makes for a great coop game :D

The story was pretty cool, dialogs were very funny, nice writing!

The first game was kinda buggy, controls were not that obvious, catching bottles was kind of unrealiable. But hey! by the 5th day I almost had a perfect :)

I managed to finish the game but it took me a long time to figure out controls. In particular at the hanging stage I didn't recognize the floating thing was actually a gun. Then I realized that the part is actually very hard to play with trackpad and went for a long personal journey for looking for a mouse. I'll probably deserve a pat or two on my back to persevere this ordeal. By the way, what would make fetching a drink with a lasso a capital offense? The game is indeed cruel.

I'm afraid I can't properly rate this. After reading the other comments, I see that there are supposed to be three minigames, but I can't get past the first one. After trying like 100 times, I caught two bottles in total, even though most of the time I they're right in the middle of the lasso. I'm going to assume that this is a failure on my part, because nobody else seems to have trouble with it.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

@thomastc you're definitely not the only one struggling with the controls of the first game. 😅
I believe the correct flow of inputs is something like:

  1. Click mouse, the crosshair starts moving.
  2. Hold the mouse button down until the crosshair is on a bottle.
  3. Release the mouse button. The lasso starts flying towards the bottle.
  4. When the lasso stops around/above the bottle, click the mouse again. The lasso should tighten around the bottle and secure it for you to enjoy.

Glad to find the instructions here, I also didn't get the click-to-tighten idea at first. Nice mix of dialogue, creative mini-games and an anti-alcohol ad :-) I never failed on the horse chase, maybe that could have been a bit harder compared to the other two. Great feel on the last game, with a bit of balancing before the gun appears.

Nice game, liked the minigames and the story was fun. I, too, am of the "I didn't know about click-to-tighten at first" club. My main nitpick is I wish the difficulty of the games was less random. The lasso game felt like it increased in difficulty in a pretty linear way (more bottles, faster reticule), but with the other games it felt like the difficulty was more or less up to chance. Maybe a skill issue on my part, missed like 6 consecutive shots on the shooting minigame on day 5.

Story was great. The minigames felt a little loose for me. The hit boxes for the lasso and drink were off, I frequently caught bottles far from the one the loop was over. The change of controls through me but I was glad there was static instructions. Overall, good entry. Wasn't sure about the theme outside the lasso itself being a loop.
