good thing I saved
hahahaha
As the title states, a few things got done. The code needed some further wrangling to support random levels and I did dable in lighting effects just cause.
The gifs are getting smaller and choppier by the hour
I'll finally get to the writing and voice acting now. They'll do much more for the mood than any graphics I can muster, that's for sure.
Now I just gotta make a bunch of spells, actual enemies, and bosses.
I'll be streaming again in an hour or 2.
Since this is my first time making a game without an engine, this is a bit hard. The source code is available on GitHub.
Hey everyone, I'm back for the first jam of 2019!
This one started while I was at work, so I lost a few hours at the beginning. But this time, I have internet in my apartment, so I won't need to rush back and forth to the nearest starbucks like I had to do last time.
I'll be working in a team of me using Twine and my friend providing the art!
I did some brainstorming last night and I have the general idea of what I want to do. You play as a shopkeeper and sell spells! You need to pick the appropriate spell ingredients, an action to perform the spell, and an incantation to say. Hopefully, as long as I have enough time to write all that.
Good luck everyone and have fun!
My game is progressing, there are already basic typing and moving mechanics.
So, which classic puzzle did I use as inspiration this time? Take a gander and a guess.
A line in the wrong position and wrong angle stays white and disappears.
A line in the wrong position but correct angle becomes yellow and disappears.
A line in the correct position and correct angle becomes red and stays.
Try to find all of the red lines.
In other words… It is 2D Mastermind!
Just a few more things to do before audio. I'll concentrate on that this time as I got a taste for voice acting in the last Global Game Jam.
