I'm in for my 18th game jam! 4

This will be my 9th Alakajam (I competed in 1 PyWeek and 8 Ludum Dares too).

I've been working on a new framework to help me quickly build well performing and scalable platformers, which I'm excited to possibly be using for this event. I've been using it to work on my largest project ever. \o/

I'll probably stream most of the jam on my YouTube channel (only the dev, not the ScoreSpace part) if anyone is interested.

Here's what I'll be using:

  • Python
  • Pygame
  • Aseprite / MSPaint
  • My Custom Platformer Framework
  • LMMS
  • SFXR / Microphone

When I see stuff like this I can't help but wonder how much I suck in comparision.

  • You're comparing yourself to someone who's whon at least some kind of trophy (1st, 2nd or 3rd in a catagory) for every game entered in Alakajam.
  • People always have difficulties seeing their own strengths (and weaknesses, but that's less relevant here).
  • Practice makes … well, better. Never perfect, just better :-)

@pyxelrfcp - don't compare yourself to fluffy. DFP has worked very hard to get this good. I don't compare myself to others. If I win something, I win something. I do my best and my goal is to do better than I did before. Compete against yourself, that's the real measure to show if you've grown or not.

ok i will practice hard ive only made 4 games so far breakout pong snake and flappy bird
