Collaborative forestation with small poems
Be a poet and plant trees!
A small 'game' experiment by Rat King - Friedrich Hanisch (programming) and Jana Reinhardt (graphics). Made within 36 hours.

The reforestation of the planet is one of the things we can do to reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere and stop the greenhouse effect. This project wants to raise awareness to this fact.
I love the concept and the art. My main critique (naturally there's always a negative, no matter what you make, right?) is that the poetry and actual forest building could be linked a little more clearly. What determines what poetry I get?
As a writer myself, I might like the idea of putting together my own lines of poetry and seeing trees sprout based on what I assemble. I know that's ambitious though.
Great little idea! I want to grow more poems now, and am keeping the tab open so I can do it here and there (I wish it had a real time timer so I could see how much time I had left to wait). It's an idle game of sorts in the end :)
The wait aspect is an elegant nudge to make us check out (and possibly donate to) the links you put on the home page.
Some features I wish the toy had to feel more complete:
Anyway these are suggestions off the top of my head but all in all it's a great idea and a solid 36h implementation.
Oh, this is just so lovely. Amazing concept.
