Uplifting

You control the lifts in an ever-growing office tower. Can you get everyone to their meetings on time?

Uplifting is a frantic tactical time management game. You are in control of the lifts in an ever-growing office tower, and you have to make sure that everybody gets to their destination floor before they lose patience.

I didn't have much time this weekend, so this was made in about 10 hours. Still, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. My personal record is 95; can you beat it?

Input doesn't seem to work on touch devices (Android/Chrome) so for now, you'll need a mouse.

Made with Godot, Inkscape and Audacity.

Post-jam changes:

  • Added authorship to the intro screen.
  • Fixed loading of highest number of people transported (was always shown as 0).

I love how you raise the difficulty over time. It started out simple, but eventually I found myself in a heightened state of alert. Very uplifting hearing that you were able to create it in 10 hours!

That gave me an appreciation for elevators in general. The elevator and people sounds were great and it was easy to catch onto the gameplay.
I would have liked a small number on the people to see which floor they wanted to go on, so I could send the one's with little time left to their designated floor immediately.
It was great fun really quickly!

Very well put together. The concept was very simple but elegant and made for a great mechanic. The audio and visuals were very simple but readable which I thought suited it well. Very fun.
