Tower of Blocks

Ah the days of stacking colourful wooden blocks on the living room floor. So many dreams of grandeur crushed by the cruel forces of gravity, or your little brother.

Jokes aside, I really like this one. Great job!

Pros:

• Fully working and logical physics system.
• Diverse range of peices create an interesting challenge
• Colourful aesthetic gives the game a nostalgic vibe
• Ability to move peices after placing them adds an interesting dynamic

Cons:

• Sound would really improve this game. Music is a tough one, but a couple of simple sound effects for placing blocks, blocks tumbling etc. would go a long way.
• The system for moving placed blocks can be very unpredictable.
• The circle/semi-circle peices being the exact same size as the hole in the arch peice can make it very tricky to get them to fit snugly inside it. Perhaps try making them a little smaller?
• If you get too many cirlce/semi circles peices it can be hard to make progress.

Overall, excellent game. I think I'll come back to this one even after the jam.

A classic very well done! It's cool that we can reposition the blocks, not easy but it creates tense moments where we try to save the structure, Very fun ! GG

Good execution. I like the fact you added this "U" shape that we dont meet very often in this kind of games. It really interract well with circles and make them less deadly.
Extra points for designing your game title with your own game engine :D

This my favorite game of the whole game jam so far! Really great. I think it would be so good to add a bit of nursery music as you play lol.

Wonderful execution, and surprisingly exciting to play! I'd wish for a few sound effects, otherwise it's really well done.

Super fun to play with.
I showed it to a couple of friends and we did got through a couple of plays.

Good and suitable mechanics of building. And different blocks types, which makes gameplay very various and dynamic. Really many abilities to build tower.

Really nice game, brings back a lot of memories! I actually really like the art style here, it's very colourful and childlike and works really well with the crisp single-colour block renders. The physics also feels nice, not too lenient but also not crazy harsh. I guess my only real complaint would be that the game doesn't really seem to develop much as you grow your tower higher, though I suppose it does naturally get more difficult with time.

Very fun game and well executed, physics simulation is really good.
I misses some music and sound during gameplay, but that`s a plus.

Super cool - I've never seen the ability to pick blocks back up before and was really impressed with how much it adds to the gameplay, and how you avoided making it too overpowered an ability. Really impressive work
