Fungi

A short simulator of Mother Nature and mushrooms

The original idea was to have a puzzle game where the player controls the elements, to help the mushrooms grow and achieve their goals (which would probably be growing somewhere).

Unfortunatly I ran out of time. It was nice reading on, and implementing the hex grid. I'll definitely use this somewhere next time.

In the end the game is lacking:

  • animations
  • gameplay
  • the wind element does nothing
  • goals
  • levels
  • sound
  • music

Really interesting simulation game. There's a lot of potential to make this more interactive. I can definitely see this game as a puzzle game just like what you put in the description. I hope you continue working on this. Good job!

We checked out your game. :D
And even though there is no real gameplay yet, I also think there is potential for a puzzle game.
I like your art style especially the cards and the background have a nice retro touch.

Looks like the basis for an interesting game. I enjoyed the dancing mushrooms, and always appreciate when jammers take the time to make a custom mouse cursor for a game. The art is all nice but I found the story a little lacking huehue

It obviously feels unfinished but the pixel art is cool, and we can technically grow mushrooms on the board :)

The hex grid and card system piqued my curiosity, this kind of board-like game can be very fun.

Interesting concept! Shame you didn't have time to finish it properly

This has so much character! Nothing else really :D
At least I managed to beat the game. Art looks good and the few mechanics work great. Maybe finish it anyway? \o/
