Basic Engine works.
Art is coming along too.
Next up are improvements and Animation.
Urhg.
Making good progress. Physics are basically done, except for some bugs, I have a weird music tune and here is my newest addition: actual player animations!
14 pages of prose and design. Ended up reading quite a few articles and documents to get a feel for the topic. The philosophical alchemy books were not much help taken what I'm trying to achieve.
That should do for post production. Now it is time to start programming.
i still missing a lot of stuff, i'm trying to make research system, also i'm adding element's and stuff
btw i still don't know how to post image, maybe i will make a video about game later
We made a late start due to a busy Friday evening for all three of us, but @ihnaut, @thrainsa and I are finally on track to make our game. We'll go with a good old shoot'em up, where the hero holds the famous Philosopher's Stone, granting him the power to explode into gold pieces all enemies that get in his way.
I'll try and make the models with MagicaVoxel, and of course set the mood with good old chiptunes.
Current state: Mockup done (pictured), Gameplay roughly in place (though we're still not decided what kind of powers will be used by transmutating elements, it will depend on the time we have), Code initialized. LET'S GO
Weekend full of things to do! But let's try to find time to participate in Alakajam!
An old alchemist in town can manipulate the bones, turning them into gold. Protect the graveyard from people trying to steal bones to get rich!
So the main character of my game is an Alchemist Chen from the east, who follows the Tao path. Chen fights in battle with Wu Xing (means Five Elements) which can be converted into various kinds of potions, providing offensive force or protection. Here's the concept art. Not quite good but I did my best ;)
After about 12 hours hard working, I finally got the gameplay part done. Here is a demostration. I got no time for graphics and grabbed some random pictures in my computer…so just ignore them ;)
The key of my game is to use the right compound at the right time. Next I'm gonna do some concept art design and finish the resources making. Keep going everybody!
Finished the draft idea. It is basically one of those old school burger shop simulators. Just simpler and with alchemy.
First jam btw. will hopefully finish in time.
Hello, i'm finally started to make something, i think it will be a research game where you have to discover new elements. so i tried to make periodic table. i have to add nearly 30 elements, all by hand.
Also i don't know how to upload images here, if you know please help )
good luck everyone
I had a beautiful dream this night and I am full of energy )
Morning solved all my worries about gameplay )
Today I will add bosses and slingshot mechanics (all alchemists use slingshot!)
