And I just noticed that the gif I tried to use for a pic was too large, probably the cause. Even so, would be nicer to have some better error handling/validation.

Yes it's probably due to the picture being larger to 2MB, you can confirm that by trying to submit your game without the pic.

Sorry for the troubles, there's a Github issue about that but we didn't take the time to correct that yet!

Oh yes, of course I tried without and with great success. And after verifying that I just had to shave off few seconds from the gif ;)

No worries, the site works beautifully compared to some others. For a second I was worried it could be some GGJ-like "submission hour and nothing works" issues.
