RythmDodge

A game about dodging crushers while jumping between floating islands!

Your home was blown to pieces by an evil Red Square!
Dodge the crushes in to the beat of the music until the song ends!
But be careful, theres a white bar counting down slowly so you must keep going from left to right and hit the buttons!
doing so will keep the timer alive.
(WASD and Space to controll)
(theres currently no actual winning because the files got corrupted so this is just a playtest version)

Interesting game idea my man. I think it could be quite cool ! (But the collisions are a bit wack haha

The initial idea seems solid (and also very hard :D) The music tune sounds good as well.

I experienced a glitch I think, in that colliding with the white side-walls would make you lose momentum, and also no longer be able to air-steer.

It was a pity that the game files became corrupted so that you were unable to finish the game, but in any case, congratulations completing your first Alakajam!

Interesting game idea. I liked the concept and the platforming worked well for the most part, except for sometimes I would get "stuck" on a wall while pushing a button and then wouldn't be able to move back to a platform. Besides that though this game was quite enjoyable.

That is an interesting idea and playtest version. I would love to see a more fleshed out version of that. Unfortunately I did have some glitches with the physics, e.g. jumping into the buttons was rather a 50/50 hit or miss thing, because I just dropped straight down, not being able to bounce of the wall.

Other than that there are quite some promising aspects here. The story sounds interesting and the core mechanic could make a very well laid out game.

Today we played RythmDodge on stream:

I was really proud that I found out, how to push the buttons in order to not die instantly.
But it is not easy.

I guess all the comments already say everything I wanted to say. Not bad, I think you had something here! Too bad you couldn't finish it.
