Hey, I was going to play your game and noticed that your Credits.txt mentions that the music was open source music available before the jam. That is against the rules for the "ranked" jam.

You must make your own music during the event, even if you opt-out of the audio category

It's well done, the graphics look really good. The action is nice, but I was hoping for traps or something more interesting. All the weapons are something that you drop down more or less. Spiders are fun.
Maybe some obstacles, walls or factories that build more defenders would be fun. Controls seemed to work nicely too and the enemy diversity was surprising.

The concept of this game is quite fun and for the most part it's great to play. The graphics are charming and the music is nice (even though it's not yours). However I find the balance kind of weird. Your powers become obsolete too quickly, and the TNT enemies feel way too powerful. Whenever I encountered them on a wave they ended up making me take damage regardless of what I tried to stop them. I think it would be cool if there was an updated version of this game released with better balance, because I think it would be really fun.

It seems like due to unfortunate circumstances, you guys entered the jam using pre-made assets, while our jam rules normally prevent this in the ranked competition. In order to find a balance between being fair to the people who went by the rules, and your honest jam participation, we chose to:

1. Switch your jam to the unranked division ;
2. Let your game appear as ranked throughout the ratings phase, so that people could still give you ratings.

So despite the bad news, you'll find below your ratings and "unofficial" ranking :-) Sorry for the confusion with the jam rules, I hope you'll be okay with our decision. And congrats for the solid ratings your game got!

Hi @Wan, honestly that does not feel really fair, not for him nor for the other games, because they got disqualified for breaking a rule they did not knew it was wrong, because the jam rules were not avaiable. idk
you can do what your heart wishes, but that does not feels fair, im sorry for being so hard on you.

@Penpen No worries, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It was a hard choice, we knew that whatever we decided would be unsatisfying to some.

The lesson to be learnt here is for us admins, we should be more careful with making the rules clearly visible to everyone upfront, to avoid situations like this.
