This game was very simple. I was able to complete it pretty quickly, and it is always interesting to hear self-recorded lines, but there wasn't much to it, and very little about it seemed interesting.

Good graphics, but very simple gameplay. it would be better with boss

Simple game but one hit death made it a decent challenge, requiring from player decent reflexes. Graphics are fine and animations are smooth. I liked recorded lines on game ends. In overall pretty fun, short game.

The art and music was nice, and the voice acting was a nice touch!

The gameplay was perhaps a bit too simple to get the player really involved in the game, especially since the game was so short.

If you are making a post-jam version, the game could be improved by adding additional length to the level, and some variety to the obstacles and enemies.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but since the mouse pointer's placement in relation to the alchemist determines his facing, this can make the alchemist run backwards, if you point the mouse in the opposite direction of his movement.

To run, jump and shoot,
is the fate of alchemists.
Get the elixir!

Simple. It just works. The graphics are fine, the music is good and the voice over is a nice touch. Unfortunately the sound effects are way too loud in relation to all other audio. The sound effects aren't that great either which is made worse by the high volume level.

Very basic platforming. If you keep shooting forward all the enemies are dead before you even get to them!

An average entry. The score is hit by the lack of originality and thematic connection.

@TechTeller, great effort for 24 hours! I think the visuals were great, shame the animation made him run backwards everywhere because I think otherwise the animation and art were impressive. I like that you did all the sounds yourself. It took some time but I completed it, the main gameplay mechanic seemed to be "land on a platform then instantly jump back and float over the enemy who was on the next platform". Ways to improve: Less static map. Different variety in enemies. Good work bro

Nothing wrong with this, i had a good time playing it(sure did not outstay its welcome ;) )
I just wish you had focused on making either the platforming or combat a bit more special or combined the systems in some interesting way.

Nice little game. I included it in my Alakajam #1 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/YUCYcrngipc
