Cave Collapse

You were exploring a cave when it suddenly collapsed while you were inside. The only way to get out was damaged, and it's up to you to repair it and escape.

I only spent about a total of 5-6 hours on this because I didn't have to much free time for the jam, so the game is lacking tons of features and story.

Controls:
Up Arrow: Jump
Left Arrow: Move left
Right Arrow: Move Right
Space: Interact

Maybe nobody is playing this because you didn't add any platform tags? For those who are wondering: it's a PyGame source archive, so if you have PyGame it should be easy to run.

Love the graphics! Very slick and polished.

Controls are tight, physics feel right, although getting into a 1-tile-high tunnel above your head is trickier than it should be.

It took me a while to figure out that Esc closes the popups. Would have been better if another Space press did that, or simply walking away from the sign.

The level is alright, although it lacks variety -- but that's understandable for such a short amount of time! I didn't manage to find all 15 scraps so I can't comment on the ending, if there is any.

Thankfully I had installed pygame for another entry so it was easy for me to get this running!
This is very well done considering how much time you had. Graphics are really nice, physics seem great and you even had a pretty good level. I liked some of the "jump to death to get stuff" things at first. After looking for the last scrap for 10-15 minutes, I was pretty annoyed. So I gave up. Then I changed the level file to have all the scraps in one place and managed to see the ending :D
I'd like a bit slower movement speed and maybe the jump could use some tweaking too. But it really is looking very good. Well done!

Fairly basic but well executed, especially considering your time constraints. Couldn't figure out how to remove sign dialogue from the screen so I ended up restarting and then avoiding signs until the end of the game when I got stuck. Managed to beat it in the end though unlike all these SQUARES in the comments.

great game. i had some struggle finding all of them, but in the end i did it. Well done!
one thing that was quite annoying was that signs didn't disappear and that they were overwritten (can't be looked at twice). this can easily be fixed by inserting
sign.open = False (and remove the redundant if not sign.open and)
in line 358
but still awesome game! it was really nice to see some other python entries
