Go make your wonderful games! May the theme inspire you!
I have a game that I made years ago for casio calculators which fits the theme "in a loop". I have been wanting to do a remake of the game for computers for a while, and this seems like the occasion. So I would code the game entirely and have to make a totally different display or graphics, but the whole scenario idea and puzzle concepts of the game would be reused. I feel like that wouldn't be allowed as it took me some time to elaborate this game and the most important part of it I think is the scenario/puzzles which would in this case be entirely copied. Would that be allowed?
Anyway I'm not sure I will participate, or if I participate and this is allowed I may still make something else but I want to know if this would be ok to do.
@Obelex It's a bit of a grey area, since the rules say "you cannot work on a game you started before the event," but what you are describing isn't really a game, just the concept and level design for one. These kinds of things are hard to track and depending on the kind of puzzle game, there can be some level concepts that are "obvious" or make sense given the ruleset. So I would still encourage you to participate, as long as the actual code and assets are made anew! :)
