It Hungers

It hungers. It can not be stopped. You have to escape.

You are trapped with a unknown bio form that is overtaking the space station.

You have drones that can push the growth back temporarily but power is running low and it is growing faster than you can kill it.

You have to find the security keys. Doing so will activate a teleporter that you can use to escape and unlock some doors.

Controls:

W to move forwards
S to move backward
A to move left
D to Move right
Q to move Up
Z to move down
Left mouse button to place a drone
Scroll wheel to determine how far away to place a drone.

Notes:

The arrow on the bottom will point to a random security keys or the teleport if it is unlocked.

Drones take a few seconds to activate after being placed.

The game randomizes the initial position of the growth and of the objects. Because of this, it takes a few seconds before the game will let you move. The game will run slower during this period.

Good concept but it was really hard to play or even figure out what I was supposed to be doing unfortunately, might give it another try in a bit and see if I can get further

This doesn't make any sense.

Beware, if you try and place drone with left click during the "start-up sequence" you can easily get stuck. At this point it's hard to figure out what you did wrong.

This was a very nice game to play! i was a bit confused at the start with the startup sequence en the keys should have been a different shape then the drones. it's quite a long game but i managed to beat it and i did have fun. sometimes even a little intense to see if my drones would manage to start shooting or get eaten up first. too bad there isn't any sound! it would have been fun as well if you teleported to another location upon beating the game and escaping. This is a very nice game that fits the theme well. I enjoyed it quite a bit!

I'm having a very hard time understanding what is going on. At the start, I cannot move, but I can click to shoot a ball, which will also make me jump. After the timer runs out, I can move and try to move in the direction of the arrow. I go past the stack of boxes, but there's a dead end. Then something happens and I'm in a place with lots of pretty looking icosahedra connected like a model of a molecule. All the while I can still jumpshoot balls, but they still don't seem to do anything, and they disappear if I shoot new ones. Then I get stuck unable to move again.

I found it kind of hard to figure out what was going on initially, but I think I mostly did in the end. The environment is a bit hard to navigate because there are not a lot of landmarks, but once I realised that the growth stuff could grab you I found it legitimately terrifying. Unfortunately I didn't seem to have an option but to fight my way through it, and it kept grabbing me, and something about that seems to cause the game to crash occasionally, so I was not able to reach the end. A map or minimap or something would improve this game a lot.

Wow! This is the best! Opinion formed after trying multiple times and finally getting the hang of it.

Negatives first this time. The graphics are not only plain and ugly, but also unclear. The keys, unlike the energy capsules, are very hard to see (and also spherical, Is that a drone I see before me?).

You could should make up for the lacking visuals with audio. A title like this needs an atmosphere only sounds can provide: ambient music, alien gurgles, static noise, lasers going pew pew, dubious growth going pop!

The interactivity should be explained better. Movement is slightly sluggish and it is hard to figure out sometimes if the growth has got its tendrils on you. There isn't a lot of feedback on anything. Understanding how the drones worked, for instance, would be easier if they change color or shape based on their state (moving, charging, engaging). Other than that everything checks out. I do like the lasers!

Big positives then. Fits the theme like a glove and I've never seen anything like this before, which is really surprising. GIves me some ideas too, which is always great.

Amazing effort in places, good work in all.
