Cool platformer made in a gamejam
This game was made in 48 hours during Alakajam 19th.
Using the EASY MODE on the starting screen allows the creations of checkpoints when picking up JumpForce Crystals <3
It's a terrible platformer that could bring a little itsy bit of frustration. Please disregard all the pain and I hope you can apppreciate the end screen music.
features: Jumping, falling, a multicolored tube that you can swing aroung with your mouse but as no effect in the game. Collecting strange kite-looking crystals.
some pixel perfect jump
and a lot of love
Quick mechanic update:
Totally forgot to mention but you can use shift to double your speed at any moment, it's still very frustrating :)
I also could barely get anwywhere. The jump just didn't seem to go far enough?
One suggestion I'd make for a game like this is maybe to juice up the jump physics a bit. Varying the height with how long you hold the button, being a bit forgiving if you press it early before landing or late after walking off a ledge, and maybe some movement acceleration? I think any of these things would help to tone down the frustration, or at least make the frustration more fun.
I did like the background music and was sad I didn't get to hear the ending track mentioned in the description.
I just held shift throughout :) It seemed a bit more playable then, though as already said, some coyote time and buffering would be great. I did not have the patience to finish collecting the gems though. It would be nice to have checkpoints or something (edit: ah, that's "easy mode"!). The sky getting progressively darker was a nice touch.

Indeed very frustrating unfortunately, as I enjoyed the look and music. (Though there seems to be a strange glitch with the platforms changing colour as soon as I jump.)
I just can't reach anything other than a few platforms, I didn't even find any crystals. Maybe it's because of my system with a 144Hz monitor? In any case the jumping is pretty unforgiving, a bit of coyoting would have been nice.
