Each player controls a spaceship with their mouse. The game can be won by capturing the planet by remaining near it for a short period of time, or by destroying the enemy spaceship. Both ships are equipped with torpedos which take a second to arm then accelerate forward as well as limited sensors. The sensors detect enemy acceleration but not much else and this information is delayed depending on the distance to the enemy.

Grab a friend and have fun!

Controlls:
Right Click - Move
Left Click - Fire Torpedo

Hey!

Nice looking game, I dig that aesthetic. This reminded me a little of SPACEWAR!

Also, I didn't have a friend to play with me, and when I tried joining or creating an internet match, it didn't work…so I just tested it locally myself.

This is actually an interesting concept, and could be fun playing with someone else.

@caiqueassis Ya, online multiplayer is not actually supported (though if you port forward and connect by ip it should work?). We are just using the default unity network setup ui and it has online play as an option. Thanks for playing! Its much more fun with a friend, so give it a try if you can!

Oh, that explains everything. I'll try finding someone over here to play when I have some time!

I played this game after Cloud Temple, which is surprisingly close in terms of gameplay. While Subspace doesn't compare in terms of graphics (despite being very respectable in that department, let's make it clear!), I feel there is more depth & skill to this game, because you can confuse the enemy player who can hardly tell apart torpedoes from the actual ship.

Congrats for actually implementing networking, I tried it locally and it worked nicely. Then again I did not do the game justice by having a friend play with me, sorry! All I can say is the game & its controls are easy to pickup. The cooldown for shooting seemed quite low, so I assume it leads to super hectic/short games?

I liked the music a lot by the way, nice job :)

Hey! So I couldn't play it with someone else, but It looks really fun! I'll do my best to rate it properly, even tho I don't have an actual gameplay experience.

It is generally speaking ill advised to have a multiplayer only title in a jam. Even rudimentary AI opponents give the usual, friendless, player a taste of the (hopefully) good stuff. I'm one of those people, so can't judge the most important aspects at all.

Had a similar idea after the theme reveal although I scrapped it. Quite surprised there aren't that many radar based designs.

The graphics are ok. The different assets don't quite fit together. Too many colors and styles. The 2D ship rotation looks naff. Why not use a 3D model? The ship itself is clearly rendered from a 3D model so what gives?

That's about all I can say.
