you need to make potions for money, within time, and try not to lose all your money!
Take a good look at the assignment at the beginning. Then Try to make a potion that has atleast those qualities!
Buy a base from the store left and put in one of the mashines or on a shelf. The first, spiral, machine takes one potion, and removes everything except for the goal. The pot machine takes 3 potions and adds up or subtracts all of the qualities. this way, the goal of the first potion is maintained. Then click the output bowl to get the resulting potion. Make the potion to get to the next level! It does not have all the features I wanted becuase I only got to start saturday afternoon.
still, Hope you enjoy it!
EDIT:
Fixed the movement and shelf bugs.
you could not move properly because the movement for frame-rate dependent, and the shelf did not have a collider to click on.
Game jams are tough to include a tutorial / instructions on how to play, so I do think you're right to focus on mechanics. But, you want those who try your game to at least experience your hard work. Your controls or lack of intuitive controls may stop potential players from experiencing your hard work.
Solid thematic idea; moderately original too, having a specific potion to create under time pressure.
The graphics are fine. The potions could be colored differently based on the contents; the shapes aren't quite enough when trying to quickly choose the right potion.
It took me while to understand what the machines do exactly. Your description talks of the goal of the potion. I think potion type would be a more specific word. The first machine keeps the type of the potion intact, but sets all stats to zero.

UI improvements:
Ok entry in all. Small issues here and there do hurt the experience though. You should have opted out of audio.

I don't think this game worked? But I liked the idea. I included it in my Alakajam #1 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/wEu1KZRTQq8
The lack of a list of controls made the game very confusing(I figured out click, A, and D, but I feel like I'm missing something). The choice of A and D was rather questionable. The input lag was also very annoying.
If you're making a game like this, you must include a proper in-game tutorial. Even if you write everything people need to know in the game description, a lot of people don't read it(even though I read it, I still don't really know how this game works). The game could use a lot of polish(like sfx or music). The idea itself was pretty much what you'd expect for the theme. I feel like you could've tried to do something a bit more unique with it. The game also kept crashing randomly, I have no clue why since it wasn't after specific actions.
Even if you have to cut back on other features, it's definately more important to have a tutorial in a game like this.
If you update the instructions to make the game clearer, I'll definitely try it again.
