Gravity based puzzle game!
Quick little game made in about 10 hours. I didn't have the ability to fully commit this weekend, but I'm happy with what I got. No music, sound, menu, end-screen, and only one variant of obstacles, but I don't think the art is that bad, just ignore the default Raylib font. Fullscreen is supported.
Graphics
You're right, the art isn't that bad. It's actually very good. I see that you put some thought into the pallete. ignoring the default RayLib font, I give graphics a 10/10.
Gameplay
It's not fun. There is very little feedback to the player when interacting with the game. No animations for spawning a planet. When you beat the last level, the level just restarts. No win screen. No particle effects. It needs some sort of user feedback to make it feel more engaging to interact with. 2/10.
Originality
It's pretty original. Spawning planets to make a spaceship move? I haven't played a game like that before. 8/10.
Theme
This fits well with our theme of graivty, as that is the core game mechanic. 10/10.
Overall score
7/10.
Nice concept. The graphics are really good and it defenetly fits the theme. Also the trajectory line is cool and useful. However there isn't anything stopping you from just spamming planets everywhere to microroute the trajectory exactly so I would have limited them. Also the hitboxes of the thing that kills you are a bit too big.
Graphics are quite good indeed, very consistent and pretty with the limited palette.
The gameplay sort of works, but it's a bit of trial and error. It's possible to spam planets to just attract the ship like crazy, until the orbit intersects the flag. However, with some judicious placement it should also be possible to solve each level.
I like the concept! Took some experimenting to figure out how things worked. I liked seeing some of the path you'd be following without being given the full trajectory right off the bat.
